The Embassy confirms that one (1) more Filipino national has been killed due to the terrorist attack against Israel. This brings the total number of deaths to three (3) – two females and 1 male.

Based on the assessment of the Israeli government, security authorities, and the realities on the ground, the DFA has raised the alert level to 2 in Israel and alert level 3 in Gaza.

The first batch of Filipinos in Israel, consisting of eight (8) individuals, is set to return to the country on October 16, 2023.

Gaza remains under a strict blockade; however, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is actively collaborating with diplomatic partners to facilitate the safe passage of our citizens through the Rafah Border Crossing.

The government, through the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), will cover all costs for Filipinos seeking repatriation from Israel, including the transportation of remains.

The public is kindly requested to rely only on official statements and advisories released by Philippine Government Agencies and to refrain from spreading unverified information.

The travel advisory, which advises against traveling from the Philippines to Israel, still remains in effect until the security situation in the country stabilizes.
