The complainant David Kasereka y Nwiza (Owner thru Deed of Sale), male, 25 years old, BPO Teluz/ Rent a car businessman, native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, and residing at, Cambridge Village, Brgy San Andres, Cainta, Rizal personally appeared to PHPT Rizal and reported a Carnapping Incident Failed To Return (FTR) to the suspect.
Accordingly, the suspect John Paul Casanova y Mercado posed as a renter and rented subject MV for a day but failed to return the same to Mr. Kasereka despite demands for the return of his vehicle, but to no avail.

Thus, on November 12, 2023, the complainant went to PHPT Rizal and sought police assistance to recover his vehicle that accordingly he was able to locate through the help of installed GPS at Sitio Bayugo Brgy San Luis Antipolo City. Subsequently, a team led by PSMS Larry Ladaga together with the complainant and Brgy Officials of Brgy San Luis went to the pinpointed location of his vehicle through GPS. Upon arriving thereat, they were able to recover the subject MV parked abandoned/unattended. Immediately said the team conducted a visual inspection inside the abandoned vehicle and they discovered fraudulent IDs and documents of registered owner, Olufemi Alfred Adeosun, in addition to an Open Deed of the same Motor Vehicle signed by the aforementioned.
The subject vehicle has been held under temporary impoundment at PHPT Rizal with the consent of the owner and advised to coordinate with this unit to file an appropriate complaint against the suspect. Likewise, the registered owner was also advised to prepare the pertinent documents for the immediate release of the vehicle from the impounding area of this unit.

The outstanding accomplishment of RHPU4A is the result of intensified Anti-Carnapping Operations of the Highway Patrol Group under the Leadership of PBGEN ALAN M NAZARRO, In line with the CPNP’s Aggressive and Honest Law Enforcement operations against carnapping, highway robbery, and other forms of criminality along the highway.
