Camp BGen Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City – As the 9th day of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in Quezon Province continues to intensify, five (5) drug suspects, seven (7) gamblers and one (1) most wanted person were arrested on November 13, 2023.
PCOL LEDON D MONTE, Provincial Director Quezon PPO said that five (5) individuals were arrested during the implementation of Buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Sariaya MPS and Lucena CPS. They were identified as @Kris, @Jun, @Rolly, @OL and @Adrian.
Recovered drug evidence tallied a total of 30.81 grams of Shabu and 1.2 grams of Marijuana with a total street value of PHP 632,496.00 along with their assorted drug paraphernalia.
On the arrest of most wanted person, one suspect was arrested in Brgy. Bocboc. Lopez Quezon for Violation of Sec. 10 (A) of RA 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
Further, a series of anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted by Sampaloc and Patnanungan MPS which resulted in the arrest of seven (7) individuals who were caught in the act of operating and betting in illegal gambling, four (4) of them were arrested for “TUPADA” while three (3) were arrested for ‘tong-its’. A total of PHP 3,800.00 bet money was confiscated together with their gambling paraphernalia.
PD MONTE urges the Quezonians to support and work hand-in-hand with Quezon Pulis against all kinds of criminality. “We will continue to intensify our campaign against wanted persons and all forms of illegal activities to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the entire province”, he added.
