Camp BGen Vicente P. Lim – PBGEN PAUL KENNETH T LUCAS concluded the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections as a resounding success with the efforts of its law enforcement personnel.
Notably, from August 28 to November 29, 2023, PRO CALABARZON implemented a comprehensive gun ban with 381 operations conducted across the region that resulted in the recovery of 263 firearms.
Furthermore, another 22 firearms replicas and unknown weapons, along with 116 bladed weapons and 11 explosives, were confiscated, fortifying PRO4A’s campaign against potential security hazards.
Collaborative efforts extended beyond firearm-related concerns, with 1,346 other items confiscated during operations, highlighting the depth and effectiveness of the security measures in place. This comprehensive approach played a pivotal role in ensuring the overall safety and success of the electoral process.
Under the resolute actions of PRO CALABARZON, 398 individuals involved in various election-related offenses were apprehended. This proactive stance translated into the filing of 324 cases in court, delivering a clear message that any attempts to disrupt the democratic process would be met with stringent legal consequences.
PBGEN LUCAS expressed gratitude to all the partner agencies and the public as the 2023 BSKE in CALABARZON unfolded peacefully. “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong lahat na aming nakasama sa layuning ito. Naging matagumpay tayo dahil sa ating “Serbisyong Nagkakaisa”. Hindi namin magagawa ito kung hindi dahil sa inyong pakikipagtulungan at suporta,” he added. (RPIO4A)
