Simula pa Ng 2:30am ng January 14, 2024 ay nagsimula ang apoy sa Frances and Sons Oil Mils Warehouse, San Benito, Alaminos, Laguna na umabot sa ika tatlong alarma.

Sinabi ni Mayor Glenn Pampolina Flores na “the fire is contained meaning na hindi na mag spread-out pa ang apoy sa katabing establishment pero hindi pa fire under control kasi ang consistency ng oil ay umiibabaw sa tubig” kaya ang paraan na ginawa ay ang kopra na wala ng apoy ay inililipat nila sa may harapan gamit ang backhoe at muling binubugahan ng tubig.

Isa sa empladong nakausap ng NSTV, sya ay napaso sa ilong at kamay dahil sa siya ang isa sa paunang nag-apula ng apoy at ang Isa naman ay sumabit sa tent kaya nasugatan.

Sa ngayon ongoing pa rin ang sunog at di pa nagde declare kahit Ng fire under control dahil hirap patayin ang sunog, sa ngayon ang pinangangambahang abuting katabing establishment na Toyota Cars at BiR ay naka standby at binabantayan ng mga personnel Ng BFP.

Maaring tumagal pa ang apoy Ng Hanggang tatlo o apat na araw pa ayon kay FSupt. Orlando A. Antonio-Provincial Fire Marshal.

More or less 20M ang estimated na nasunog.
Walang naiulat na malubhang nasaktan maliban sa napasong empleyado sa insidente.

On or about 0230H 14 January 2024, a concerned citizen called this office informing that an Industrial Fire was in progress at Brgy. San Benito, Alaminos, Laguna. FO1 Ma. Elma T Evangelista advised the Provincial oftice and immediately dispatched Foton Firetruck with plate number GA8760 driven by FOi Argel Patrick o Artillaga together with FO1 Renel C Leus as well as the Hyundai Firetruck driven by SFO1 Ferdie M Martinez. FO2 Maria Carmel Pearl M Bondad and FO2 Maureen B Enraca arrived the scene at 0232H.


An information was also received by this station that responding team from San Pablo Fire Station headed by SFO3 Jeffrey M Calabia was already in the scene since a concerned citizen reported the incident to San Pablo Fire Station thinking that the burning structure is located at Barangay San Nicolas, San Pablo City, Laguna prior to the report of an unnamed concerned citizen who called this office.

Upon arrival at the scene, SFO3 Jeffrey M Calabia transferred the command to our Deputy Fire Marshal SFO4 Edwin P Placente upon his arrival. He relayed to FSUPT FERNAN GIL C CAGAMPAN regarding the status of the incident. It was made known to the assuming command (FSUPT FERNAN GIL C. CAGAMPAN) that the alarm was already raised to Third Alarm.

The team conducted size-up under the direct supervision of the ground commander. It was found out that the involved establishment is already engulfed in fire with black thick smoke emanated from the Oil Mils Warehouse. The Shift A duty laid hoses and conducted direct attack to suppress fire under the command of the Fire Ground commander, FSUPT Fernan Gil C Cagampan.

The responding units coming from San Pablo, Tanauan City, Sto Tomas City, Rizal, Liliw, Magdalena, Cabuyao, Bay,Calauan, Nagcarlan, Sta Cruz, San Pedro, Biñan, Pagsanjan and Calamba fire station arrived at the scene together with our Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT ORLANDO A ANTONIO and our Provincial Chief Operations SFO1 Eraño I. Bago. Upon further seizing up of ongoing fire operation, two fire trucks proceed at the Toyota warehouse to prevent the spread of fire at the adjacent building. The Shift B personnel arrived at the scene to help and assist the on-going fire suppression. Thus, Fire Under Control has not been declared.

Involved in this fire incident is warehouse made up of concrete and mostly steel.
It has 11 Oil Spiller machine and powerhouse room owned by Perla Escaba.

Investigation was thereafter conducted. The initial investigation conducted revealed that according to verbal statement of the duty security guard Raymond Bondocoy, 37 yrs old heard an explosion right after his roving at exactly 0220H, he went back to verify together with the duty employees namely, Julius Rivera, Policarpio Marquez, Gabriel San Juan, Leomar Cuenca, Edwin Dorado and Ericson Mabulay and saw the oil spiller machine no.5 engulfed by fire. The security guard called the fire station right after discovering the fire.
