Highway Patrol Group CALABARZON Arrested Most Wanted Person in the Province of Laguna for the Crime of RA 10883 (NEW ANTI-CARNAPPING LAW) NO BAIL RECOMMENDED
Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A under the supervision of Regional Chief RHPU4A, PCOL ROMMEL C ESTOLANO, successfully carried out simultaneous anti-carnapping operations that resulted in the arrest of one FORTUNATO SANTOS UBAN III with WOA (MWP, Provincial Level, Laguna PPO) for the Crime of RA 10883 (NEW ANTI-CARNAPPING LAW)
On January 22, 2024, at about 10:00 PM, at Shell Gas Station along Service Road Western Bicutan, Taguig City. Elements of PHPT Laguna led by PMAJ DANTE R AQUINO Provincial Officer, together with Sta Rosa CPS conducted an operation against the Most Wanted Person that resulted in the arrest of FORTUNATO SANTOS UBAN III accused for Violation of New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 (RA10883) issued by HON ROSAURO ANGELITO SICAT DAVID, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 101, Santa Rosa, Laguna issued on January 22, 2024, with No Bail Recommended. The arrested person is listed Most Wanted Person of Laguna PPO (Provincial Level)
The accused was informed of the cause of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights (Miranda rights) and Anti Torture law in a language known to him and the arrest was recorded using alternative recording devices (ARD)(Mobile phone). The accused was brought to PHPT Laguna office for documentation while pending the return of WOA to the issuing court.
The outstanding accomplishment of RHPU4A is the result of intensified Anti-Carnapping Operations of the Highway Patrol Group under the Leadership of PBGEN ALAN M NAZARRO, In line with the CPNP’s Aggressive and Honest Law Enforcement operations against carnapping, highway robbery, and other forms of criminality along the highway.
