Four Arrested during a buy-bust, Drug Den Dismantled in Biñan

In a coordinated effort between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Laguna Provincial Office, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, and the Biñan City Police Station, a significant blow was dealt to drug trafficking operations on March 19, 2024. At approximately 10:10 PM, authorities executed a meticulously planned buy-bust operation in Barangay Malaban, Biñan City, Laguna, culminating in the arrest of three individuals and the dismantling of a notorious drug den.

The individuals apprehended during the operation have been identified as Jeprey Reyes alias Jepoy, tagged as a Regional Target-listed Drug Personality and suspected maintainer of the drug den, alongside Jaybie Reyes, Louie Insorio, and Eduardo Bautista. Authorities believe these individuals to be pivotal figures in the local drug trade, with ties to the distribution and sale of illegal narcotics.

Seized from the suspects were approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, with an estimated street value of Php68,000. Alongside the narcotics, law enforcement confiscated various drug paraphernalia and marked buy-bust money, further corroborating the illicit activities of the apprehended individuals.

The suspects are slated to face charges in accordance with Republic Act No. 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This legislation imposes stringent penalties on individuals involved in the cultivation, production, sale, transportation, and distribution of illegal drugs. The arrests underscore the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the pervasive threat of drug trafficking and addiction plaguing communities across the nation.
