In an unusual turn of events, four individuals were apprehended for the theft of a pot of adobo from an eatery in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya. The incident, captured by CCTV cameras, unfolded when the suspects arrived in pairs on two motorcycles.

According to the footage, one of the motorcycles parked in front of the eatery, while the rider, wearing a black t-shirt and a white hat, entered the premises. Shortly after, the pillion rider, dressed in a basketball jersey, took over the motorcycle’s controls. After scanning the surroundings, the individual in the black t-shirt swiftly entered the premises of the eatery and grabbed a pot of adobo.

Despite their quick getaway, law enforcement authorities managed to track down the suspects and apprehend them. The eatery owner opted not to pursue legal action but instead demanded compensation for the stolen adobo, amounting to ₱1,500.

Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that their decision to steal the adobo was influenced by their inebriated state. This bizarre crime has left the community astonished and serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of criminal activities.

Local residents expressed a mixture of amusement and disbelief upon learning about the theft, with some jokingly suggesting that the suspects must have been extremely hungry to resort to stealing a pot of adobo. Meanwhile, authorities have reminded establishments to remain vigilant and to utilize security measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The four individuals have since expressed remorse for their actions. This peculiar incident serves as a cautionary tale and highlights the importance of maintaining law and order within communities, even in the face of seemingly trivial crimes.
