Calamba City Mayor Ross Rizal recently hosted a “Testimonial Dinner for Business Partners” at the upscale Crimson Hotel in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa. The event, held last Friday, April 26, 2024, marked the ongoing celebration of the city’s 23rd Cityhood anniversary.
During the dinner, Mayor Rizal emphasized the crucial role of partnerships in fostering economic growth and development in Calamba. Business leaders, government officials, and community members gathered to honor the vital contributions of local businesses to the city’s prosperity.
In conjunction with the city’s anniversary celebration, Mayor Rizal also launched the Calamba Electronic Business One Stop Shop (e B.O.S.S), aimed at streamlining business processes and documentation.
Mayor Rizal expressed his gratitude to the entrepreneurs who have chosen to invest in Calamba, highlighting their ongoing partnership in the city’s economic and tourism development. He emphasized the LGU’s commitment to providing better services, particularly in simplifying business-related processes.
Furthermore, the Calamba LGU continues to support businesses affected by the pandemic by offering amnesty to business taxpayers. Mayor Rizal announced, “For the first time, we have an amnesty for our business taxpayers. We give them the opportunity to come back, and all their back wages, penalties, and interest will be waived. They just need to avail our business tax amnesty.”
The event underscored Mayor Rizal’s dedication to strengthening ties between the city and its business community, fostering an environment conducive to growth and prosperity in Calamba.
