SM City Santa Rosa marked a milestone in sustainability with the grand unveiling of the largest SM solar photovoltaic (PV) system, underscoring its commitment to green initiatives. The inauguration, held on April 29, was graced by esteemed figures dedicated to fostering a greener future.

At the forefront of the event was SM Supermalls’ President, Steven Tan, flanked by Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene Arcillas, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Environmental Management Bureau Director Jacqueline Caancan, and Chief of Environmental Management Bureau (EMB)-Hazardous Waste Management Section, Geri Geronimo Sañez. Also present were Department of Energy (DOE) officials, including Energy Utilization Management Bureau Assistant Director Lana Rose Manaligod and Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB) Division Chief Engr. Ferdinand Binondo.

The ceremony garnered further significance with the participation of industry leaders such as Meralco’s Head for Enterprise – Commercial and Conglomerates, Bernice Gretchel Garcia-Rama, and Buskowitz President, James Buskowitz.
