NAKISAYA si Senador Lito Lapid sa libu-libong local at foreign tourists na dumagsa sa Bangus Festival sa Dagupan City nitong April 30, Martes.
Kasama ang iba pang bisita, sinaksihan ni Lapid ang “Kalutan ed Dalan” o ang pag-iihaw ng bangus sa kalye na pinangunahan ni Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez.
Ang Bangus Festival ay hindi lamang isang culinary event kundi ito ay pagpapakita ng mayamang kultura at tradisyon sa Dagupan, kabilang na ang street parades, art exhibits at cultural presentations at street dance competition.
Base sa datos noong 2023, umani ng 139 libong tonelada ng bangus sa Pangasinan o katumbas ng 39 porsyento ng total production sa nasabing pambansang isda.
Bukod sa masarap ang bangus ng Dagupan, sinabi ni Lapid na malaking tulong ito sa pag-lago ng lokal na ekonomiya at cuisine o pagluluto ng pagkain.
