Laguna, Philippines – Senator Imee Marcos has called for the swift reinstatement of Vice President Sara Z. Duterte’s security detail, emphasizing the importance of her safety and role in the country.
“VP Sara Z. Duterte should have her security detail back ASAP. First, she is the 2nd highest elected official in the country whose safety must never be compromised,” Marcos stated.
Highlighting the vice president’s strong stance on law and order, Marcos added, “Second, she is a Duterte, who, like her father, is a staunch defender of law and order, hence topping the CPP-NPA’s order of battle.”
Senator Marcos also questioned the credentials of Major General Rommel Marbil, the current PNP Chief, in relation to this security issue. “At sino naman yang Rommel Marbil? Ni hindi ko nga yan kilala,” she remarked.
The senator’s statements come amid discussions about the security arrangements for high-ranking officials in the government.
