In a heartfelt response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Carina, Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), has delivered crucial relief to affected communities in Metro Manila and Cavite. On August 5 and 6, 2024, the company distributed 600 relief packages to hard-hit areas, including Brgy. Pulvorista and Aplaya in Kawit, Brgy. Talaba II in Bacoor, Brgy. Tambo, Don Galo, and San Dionisio in Parañaque, and Barangay 201 in Pasay City.
Recognizing the broader impact of the storm, MPT South also extended its aid to key partners, providing 100 relief packages to the Philippine Navy and the Alliance of Concerned Transport Organization (ACTO). This gesture highlights the company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility and its dedication to supporting a wide network of stakeholders in times of crisis.
Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management at MPT South, expressed the company’s hope that these efforts would bring some comfort to those affected. “We hope these relief packages will help families and communities see that there is always hope, even in these trying times,” Capistrano said.
MPT South’s swift response underscores its commitment to the Filipino spirit of ‘Bayanihan,’ showcasing the company’s dedication to standing by its host communities in times of need.
