Masbate – On August 14, 2024, personnel from 94SAC, 9SAB of SAF together with the elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Masbate PFU 5, as lead unit, other PNP units and AFP counterparts successfully arrested alias Galy in counterinsurgency operation conducted in Placer, Masbate.
The suspect is a non-PSR listed CTG member under remnants of dismantled Komiteng Larangang Gerilya South, Sub-Regional Committee 4, Bicol Regional Party Committee and a Most Wanted Person of PRO 5. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Murder under Criminal Case No. 2418-12 dated July 24, 2024 issued by Regional Trial Court, Branch 49, 5th Judicial Region, Cataingan, Masbate.
CIDG Masbate PFU took custody of the arrested suspect for documentation and proper disposition.
The successful operation is a manifestation of strong commitment of the Unit and other law enforcement agencies in the maintenance of peace and order in the region. #SAF
