In a crackdown on illegal firearms and drugs, law enforcement agencies executed a successful operation on August 17, 2024, in Barangay Conception Grande, Naga City. The operation, a collaborative effort involving personnel from the 95th Special Action Company (SAC), 9th Special Action Battalion (SAB) of the Special Action Force (SAF), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of Camarines Sur Provincial Field Unit (PFU), led to the arrest of two suspects, known only by their aliases Patrick and Danilo.

The operation targeted the suspects for alleged violations of Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. During the buy-bust operation, authorities seized a .38 caliber revolver with three rounds of ammunition and three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu. Additionally, the police recovered one genuine one-thousand-peso bill, 15 pieces of boodle money, and a black coin purse.

The CIDG Camarines Sur PFU has taken custody of the suspects and the confiscated items, which will undergo further documentation and legal processing. This operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and firearms in the region. The success of this operation underscores the dedication and cooperation among various units of the Philippine National Police, particularly the SAF, in their relentless efforts to maintain peace and order.

Authorities emphasized that this arrest sends a strong message to those involved in illegal activities that law enforcement agencies are vigilant and committed to their mission of safeguarding the community. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help in the fight against crime.
