A 47-year-old man, known as “Alyas Jesus,” was arrested early in the morning on August 25, 2024, in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, during a police operation. The Taytay Municipal Police Station (MPS) was conducting “Oplan Sita” when officers attempted to stop and verify the suspect. Upon noticing the police, the suspect tried to flee, prompting a chase.
The police successfully apprehended the suspect, discovering an Entratec model pistol with a serial number, a loaded magazine, and three 9mm bullets in his possession. The suspect is currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility, facing charges under Article 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms Law).
PCOL Maraggun urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the authorities to help maintain peace and order in the community.
