A joint operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) led to the arrest of three high-value drug personalities and the confiscation of illegal drugs worth over PHP 2 million. The operation took place on August 29, 2024, along Molino-Paliparan Road, Barangay Paliparan 2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

The suspects, identified as Lenard Cañete y Cuenca, alias Marlon, 27, a tricycle driver; Abegail Arandia y Gomez, alias Bai, 21, and Claire Ann Adolfo y Rosel, 21, a customer care assistant, were apprehended during a buy-bust operation executed by PDEA Regional Office IV-A Regional Special Enforcement Unit Team 1, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, PNP Regional Drug Enforcement Unit IV-A, and PNP City Drug Enforcement Unit-Dasmariñas City Police Station. All three suspects are residents of Barangay Paliparan 2. Meanwhile, another suspect, identified as Jomel Martinez, remains at large.

During the operation, authorities seized approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP 680,000, and 800 blue tablets believed to be ecstasy, worth PHP 1,360,000. The operatives also recovered the buy-bust money used in the operation.

The suspects are currently detained at PDEA Regional Office IV-A in Barangay Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the PDEA and PNP in combating the illegal drug trade in the region. Authorities continue to hunt for the remaining suspect, Martinez, as they intensify their campaign against drug-related activities.
