High-Value Target Nabbed with P4M Worth of Shabu in a Major Drug Bust in Imus

A high-value drug target was apprehended in a major operation conducted by joint forces from the PDEA Regional Office IV-A and local law enforcement agencies. The buy-bust operation, which took place on September 3, 2024, in Barangay Pasong Buaya II, Imus City, led to the arrest of a notorious figure involved in the illegal drug trade.

The operation led to the arrest of Rashid Cabili y Macud, alias Ali, a 38-year-old tricycle driver and resident of Barangay 648, Manila. Cabili had been under surveillance as a high-value target in the illegal drug trade, making this arrest a significant blow to the drug network operating in the region.

During the operation, authorities were able to confiscate approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu. The seized illegal drugs have an estimated street value of PHP 4,000,000.00, indicating the scale and seriousness of the suspect’s involvement in the drug trade.

The buy-bust operation, meticulously planned and executed, also resulted in the recovery of the buy-bust money used during the transaction. This evidence will play a crucial role in the prosecution of the case against Cabili.

Cabili now faces charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The charges carry severe penalties, reflecting the government’s hard stance against drug-related crimes.

Currently, the suspect is being held at the PDEA Regional Office IV-A Detention Facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. He will remain in custody as the legal process proceeds, ensuring that justice is served for his alleged crimes.

This arrest is a testament to the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drugs in the region. The successful operation underscores the authorities’ commitment to eradicating high-level drug activities and protecting communities from the dangers of illegal drugs.
