Mayor Ross Rizal Leads Groundbreaking for 157-Unit Rizal Village Housing Project in Calamba

CALAMBA CITY – In a major move towards addressing the housing needs of local residents, Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, alongside Vice Mayor Angelito “Totie” Lazaro Jr. with the Sangguniang Panlunsod and key city officials, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rizal Village I housing project in Brgy. Kay-Anlog.

The project will see the construction of 157 housing units, which are part of the city’s long-term housing initiative aimed at providing affordable homes to Calambeños. This marks a vital step in the city’s commitment to improving housing access for its growing population.

Mayor Rizal, during the ceremony, highlighted the importance of projects like these in ensuring that taxpayer money is felt and returned to the people. He stated, “Ang mga buwis ng mamamayan, nararamdaman at naibabalik sa mga Calambeño,” emphasizing the direct benefits that such initiatives bring to the local community.

“Ganito po ang CALAMBAGO, para sa tao!” Mayor Rizal declared, referencing the city’s ongoing transformation efforts under his administration. CALAMBAGO, a local term symbolizing progress and change, is central to his vision for an inclusive and progressive Calamba.

The event saw the participation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod with various city officials, including City Administrator Johnny Pamuspusan, Brgy. Captain Nemar Mendoza, and several department heads, who were all key players in bringing the project to life. Their combined efforts have been instrumental in making this housing development a reality.

Vice Mayor Angelito “Totie” Lazaro Jr. also expressed his support for the project, recognizing its potential to uplift the living standards of the residents of Brgy. Kay-Anlog and the wider community of Calamba.

With the groundbreaking ceremony completed, construction of the 157 housing units is expected to begin soon, marking a key milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to provide sustainable and affordable housing solutions for its citizens.
