Dalawang Lalaki Timbog ng PNP sa Caloocan Dahil sa Droga at Paglabag sa Ordinansa

Caloocan City, Setyembre 18, 2024 — Dalawang lalaki ang naaresto ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Miyerkules ng gabi sa kahabaan ng 2nd Avenue, Barangay 120, Caloocan City, matapos maaktuhang nagtataglay ng ipinagbabawal na gamot at lumabag sa ordinansa ng lungsod laban sa paninigarilyo sa pampublikong lugar.

Kinilala ang mga suspek na sina Marvin Saberona y Salting, 41 taong gulang, at Andy Boy Ejares y Cruz, 22 taong gulang, kapwa walang trabaho. Ayon sa ulat, nagsasagawa ng foot patrol ang mga tauhan ng PNP Substation 2 nang sitahin ang mga suspek habang naninigarilyo sa pampublikong lugar. Sa kabila ng paliwanag tungkol sa ordinansa, tumakas ang dalawa, na nauwi sa kanilang agarang pagdakip.

Sa kanilang pagtakas, nahulog mula sa mga suspek ang dalawang plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na tumitimbang ng 1.32 gramo, na may tinatayang halaga na PHP 8,976.00. Agad silang inaresto ng mga pulis at binasahan ng kanilang karapatan.

Ang mga suspek ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon at kakaharapin ang mga kasong paglabag sa RA 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) at Section 11 ng RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
