LAGUNA — In a continuous effort to uplift local livelihoods, Vice Governor Atty. Karen Agapay spearheaded the distribution of the Seed Capital Fund to various Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations under Batch 4. The initiative aims to support women and community groups in launching and growing small businesses across Laguna.

The beneficiaries and their respective projects include:

Kanlurang Talaongan SLP Association (Cavinti): Community Store, P300,000

Kaagapay at Malasakit SLPA (Santa Rosa City): Rice Retailing, P375,000

Cigaras Solo Parents SLPA (Magdalena): Community Store, P330,000

Alipit Farmers SLPA (Magdalena): Agricultural Supplies, P255,000

Padayon San Felix SLPA (Victoria): Community Store, P300,000




Vice Governor Agapay praised the dedication of the women involved in the program, many of whom underwent a year-long training on proper budgeting and financial management through the Kalinga At Agapay Centers.

“Congratulations to all our recipients, particularly the women who have shown commitment to learning and developing sustainable livelihoods. We hope these ventures not only grow but also uplift more members of your communities,” Agapay said.

The initiative was made possible through partnerships with San Miguel Corporation and Aderans Philippines Inc., both of which provided additional livelihood opportunities.

This program represents another significant step toward economic empowerment, with lasting impact on both individual families and entire communities.
