Mahigit Kalahating Milyong Halaga ng Shabu Nasabat sa Buy-Bust Operation sa Tanay, Rizal

Dalawang suspek ang inaresto ng Provincial Intelligence Unit sa isang buy-bust operation noong gabi ng Oktubre 15, 2024, bandang 9:58 PM sa Brgy. Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal. Ang mga suspek, na kinilalang sina alyas “Dave,” 58, mula sa Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, at alyas “Dion,” 20, mula sa Brgy. Santiago, Baras, Rizal, ay itinuring na High Value Individuals (HVI) dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa bentahan ng iligal na droga.

Sa operasyon, nasabat mula sa mga suspek ang limang pakete ng hinihinalang shabu na may timbang na humigit-kumulang 100 gramo at may halagang P680,000. Bukod dito, nakumpiska rin ang iba’t ibang drug paraphernalia, isang motorsiklo, at isang cellphone.

Ang mga ebidensya ay agad na dinala sa Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit para sa pagsusuri at imbestigasyon, habang ang mga suspek ay kasalukuyang nasa Tanay Custodial Facility. Inihahanda na ang mga kasong kriminal para sa paglabag sa Sections 5, 11, at 26 ng RA 9165 o ang “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Pinapurihan ni PCOL Felipe Maraggun, Provincial Director ng Rizal Police Provincial Office, ang matagumpay na operasyon at nangakong paiigtingin pa ng kapulisan ang kampanya laban sa iligal na droga sa probinsya.
