Naga City – On October 16, 2024, personnel from 95SAC, 9th Special Action Battalion of SAF provided tactical support to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Camarines Sur PFU as lead unit during a buy-bust operation. Together with other PNP units, they successfully arrested alias Valdez in an operation conducted in Brgy. Conception Pequeña, Naga City, Camarines Sur.
The operation targeted the suspect for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act). Seized during the operation were one cal. .38 revolver with three rounds of ammunition, one genuine one-thousand-peso bill used as buy-bust money, nine pieces of boodle money, and a holster.
CIDG Camarines Sur PFU took custody of the arrested person and seized items for documentation and proper disposition.
The success of the operation highlights the dedication of law enforcement units to upholding the rule of law and protecting citizens from the dangers posed by illegal firearms, thereby reducing potential threats to public safety.
