ASec. Tolentino at DTI Laguna, Pinasigla ang Digital Transformation ng MSMEs sa 2nd Laguna MSME Summit 2024 sa Enchanted Kingdom

Ayon sa datos ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) noong 2022, 99.59% ng mga negosyo sa bansa ay nabibilang sa kategoryang Micro, Small, at Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Nasa 90.49% ng mga ito o katumbas ng 1,004,195 ay mga micro enterprises, at 14.81% o 163,710 naman ang matatagpuan sa rehiyon ng CALABARZON.

Bilang tugon sa paglago ng MSMEs, isinulong ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ang digital transformation sa sektor ng negosyo, alinsunod sa adhikain ng administrasyon para sa isang “Bagong Pilipinas.” Mula Enero 2023, libo-libong MSMEs ang isinama sa e-commerce, na tinutulungan silang palawakin ang merkado gamit ang social media at iba pang digital platforms.

Idinaos ang 2nd Laguna MSME Summit 2024 sa Enchanted Kingdom sa Santa Rosa, Laguna, at dito ay ipinahayag ni ASec. Dominic R. Tolentino ang pagsusumikap ng DTI sa pagpapalawak ng digital access para sa MSMEs: “I’d like to mention also na ang DTI ay mayroon platform kung saan. Ito ay isang digital platform na nagpagsasama-sama natin yung mga produkto. Ito rin ang ginagawa ni Secretary Chris Roque na magkaroon ng tinatawag na catalog ng mga produkto. wherein kung makikita nyo yung digital catalog, doon pwede na kayong mag-order. And I’m so happy that our Provincial Director and the Regional Director, Mamaris Argente, are really active about the MSMB assembly. This is not only a learning, but this is the result of the hard work of our DTI officials.”

Ngayong taon, sa pakikipagtulungan ng DTI Laguna, Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Laguna, Enchanted Kingdom, at Laguna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, idinaos ang summit upang hikayatin ang MSMEs na makibahagi sa mga programang pang-inobasyon at digitalisasyon ng pamahalaan, at magbigay ng mas malawak na akses sa teknolohiya at merkado.

Ang summit ay nagtatampok ng mga talakayan ukol sa digitalization, paggamit ng AI sa negosyo, at isang trade fair na nagpapakita ng mga lokal na produkto mula sa native delicacies hanggang sa mga gawang-kamay at tradisyonal na crafts ng Laguna.

Kabilang sa mga tampok na bahagi ng pagdiriwang ang pamamahagi ng livelihood kits sa 30 benepisyaryo ng Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) 2024, at ang parangal sa unang 50 MSME owners ng Laguna na nagawaran ng “Likhang Laguna Product Certification Seal”—isang sertipikasyon na sumisimbulo sa kalidad at kasiguraduhan ng mga produktong gawang Laguna.
