Mayor Ross Rizal Warns Calamba Residents About Housing Scams

Calamba City Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal has issued a public warning regarding fraudulent schemes targeting citizens seeking government housing assistance. Reports have reached the Mayor’s Office (Dulugang Bayan) that scammers are posing as agents, asking for fees in exchange for processing housing requirements.

Mayor Rizal stressed that the government’s housing application and processing services are entirely free of charge. He urged residents to be cautious and avoid any transactions with individuals claiming to expedite housing requirements for a fee.

“We want to protect our community from these fraudulent schemes. The government’s housing programs are designed to help, not exploit, our people,” said Mayor Rizal. He also encouraged anyone who may have fallen victim to these scams, or who knows someone engaging in these activities, to report them to Dulugang Bayan for swift action.

The City of Calamba remains committed to safeguarding its residents from exploitation and ensuring access to genuine public services.
