2 Suspects Arrested with Stolen Motorcycle Through Pililla MPS Oplan Sita

Pililla, Rizal – Two young men were arrested after being caught with a stolen motorcycle during an Oplan Sita operation conducted by the Pililla Municipal Police Station (MPS). The successful operation took place on Monday, November 18, 2024, along Pililla-Tanay Road, Sitio Cumbo, Barangay Hulo, Pililla, Rizal.

At around 12:25 AM, a woman reported to the Pililla MPS the theft of her motorcycle, which was parked in front of an establishment along Manila East Road, Barangay Bagumbayan, Pililla, Rizal.

Under the directive of PCOL Felipe B. Maraggun, Provincial Director of the Rizal Police, all police stations in the province were immediately alerted to conduct checkpoint operations. Acting on the victim’s description, officers quickly identified and intercepted the suspects.

During the checkpoint along Pililla-Tanay Road, authorities flagged down two individuals riding a motorcycle without helmets and unable to present proper vehicle documents (OR/CR). Upon verification, the motorcycle matched the description of the stolen vehicle reported earlier.

The suspects, identified as Alias Fer and Alias Pat, both 20 years old and residents of Tanay, Rizal, were apprehended. The victim positively identified the two men at the scene as the ones who stole her motorcycle.

The suspects were taken to the Pililla Custodial Facility for proper disposition and inquest proceedings. They will face charges for violating the R.A. 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

The police continue to remind the public to remain vigilant and safeguard their belongings as efforts to combat criminality in the province of Rizal persist.
