Calamba Water District Announces Maintenance Activity to Improve City Water Supply

Calamba, Laguna – The Calamba Water District (CWD) has issued an advisory to residents regarding a scheduled maintenance activity aimed at enhancing the water supply in the city proper. The replacement of a Meralco transformer at the Bucal Pumping Station will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

To minimize disruptions during the maintenance period, the pumping station will temporarily operate on a generator set. However, fluctuations in water pressure or supply may still occur. Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water in preparation for the scheduled activity.

In a statement, CWD General Manager Jhun Aguilar expressed the importance of this upgrade:
“This maintenance is a critical step toward ensuring a more reliable and efficient water supply system for Calamba. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we carry out this improvement project, and we encourage everyone to prepare accordingly.”

The Calamba Water District also assured residents that they are doing everything possible to minimize inconvenience during the maintenance process. For further inquiries or real-time updates, residents may contact CWD’s office or check their official social media pages.
