2 Most Wanted Persons in Region Arrested in Separate Antipolo PNP Operations for Rape Charges

The Antipolo City Police successfully apprehended two Regional Level Most Wanted Persons in separate operations conducted on November 20, 2024. The arrests, carried out in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Rizal Provincial Field Unit, mark a significant victory in the fight against sexual crimes.

Arrest of Alyas Marvin

At around 10:45 AM in Barangay Mambugan, operatives arrested 29-year-old Alyas Marvin. The suspect, a resident of the same barangay, was apprehended based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 72 of Antipolo City. Marvin faces six counts of Statutory Rape and Rape, with no bail recommended.

Investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly exploited a minor neighbor repeatedly from 2016 to 2018.

Arrest of Alyas John

Later that day, at approximately 7:48 PM, authorities captured 26-year-old Alyas John in Barangay Mayamot. The warrant, issued by Family Court Branch 17 of Antipolo City, charges John with four counts of Statutory Rape, two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness (with bail set at PHP 180,000 per case), and Rape through Sexual Assault (with bail set at PHP 120,000).

The suspect is accused of sexually abusing a minor relative since 2023.

Commitment to Justice

Both suspects are now under the custody of the Antipolo Custodial Facility, awaiting legal proceedings.

Provincial Director PCol Felipe B. Maraggun commended the dedication of the Rizal PNP in ensuring justice for the victims and their families. He reiterated the police force’s commitment to maintaining peace and safety across the province, emphasizing the importance of such operations in eradicating criminality.

The Rizal PNP vows to continue its relentless efforts against all forms of crime, aiming for a safer and more secure community for everyone.
