Two Personalities Arrested; Firearms and Ammunition Seized in Marawi City

Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur—On December 12, 2024, personnel from 44SAC, 4th Special Action Battalion, PNP SAF provided tactical support to the elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Lanao Del Sur Provincial Field Unit as lead unit together with other law enforcement units and successfully arrested two individuals and seizure of significant firearms and ammunition in Brgy. Rapasun MSU, Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur.

Seized during the buy-bust operation for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) were: one caliber .45 pistol M1911A1 US ARMY with Serial Number (SN) 719361; one caliber .45 pistol Ultra Carry with SN 152648; two steel magazines for caliber .45; six rounds of caliber .45 ammunition; one genuine one thousand pesos bill with SN MZ853345; 39 pieces of one thousand peso as boodle bundle money worth of (PhP39,000.00); one Xiaomi mobile phone; six ID cards identified as Macararik Abdul Mughnie; four ID cards identified as Panarigan Mamantar Jr.; and other personal belongings.

CIDG Lanao Del Sur PFU took custody of the arrested persons and seized items for documentation and proper disposition.

The SAF and other law enforcement units remain vigilant in its mission to protect and serve the public, fostering a safer environment for all residents in Marawi City.
