19-Year-Old Seeks Justice After Nearly Two Years of Abuse by a Japanese

STA. ROSA CITY, Laguna — A 19-year-old lady has sought help and justice after nearly two years of alleged abuse by her Japanese employer in a condominium in Pasay City.

According to the victim, who gave her the name “Maria” the nightmare began when she was 17. She met a certain Merlyn on social media who offered her a job as a maid. Unfortunately, this was the beginning of her ordeal.

Almost Daily Abuse

According to Maria, two months after starting work, her employer woke her up naked next to him. Since then, the suspect has raped her every day. She also said that he threatened her with a gun to prevent her from reporting the matter and always forced her to take the red and white pills.

He added that the suspect had three other Filipinos and one Japanese accomplice. They allegedly monitored all of her movements, including her interactions with her family. Whenever she called her parents, her employer watched her to ensure that nothing would be revealed.

Escaping the Nightmare

Her ordeal ended when her employer attempted to take her to Japan using fake documents. With the help of the suspect’s alertness and suspicious behavior, immigration officials caught the Japanese man. At that time, Mary dared to ask for help and was able to return to her family in Laguna.

Call for Justice

Currently, Maria is in the care of her family and has contacted the authorities to file charges against the suspect. She continues to call for justice for those who ruined her youth.

Authorities hope that the case will progress quickly so that the suspect and his accomplices will be held accountable.

The public is also reminded to be cautious when accepting job offers on social media. Victims of abuse are encouraged not to be afraid to speak up to achieve justice.
