Law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended a murder suspect, alias Commander Brando, during a joint manhunt operation in Brgy. Sto. Niño, Pasay City, on December 17, 2024.
The operation, led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Manila Police District (CIDG-MPD) with tactical support from the 83rd Special Action Company, Rapid Deployment Battalion of the PNP Special Action Force, culminated in the arrest of the suspect. Commander Brando was wanted under Criminal Case No. 761-2011 for murder, based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Kidapawan City, dated July 13, 2012.
CIDG-MPD has taken custody of the suspect for documentation and further legal procedures.
This successful operation highlights the unwavering dedication of the PNP SAF and CIDG-MPD in pursuing justice and maintaining public safety nationwide.
