January 14, 2025 – Senator Bong Go reaffirmed his commitment to public service during the regular Senate session on Tuesday. The session was marked by the approval of significant legislative measures aimed at improving the lives of Filipinos.

Among the key achievements was the passage on third and final reading of Senate Bill No. 2863, also known as the “Act Providing for Pension Differential to the Department of Foreign Affairs Retirees.” Senator Go, one of the principal authors, emphasized that this measure seeks to enhance the benefits received by DFA retirees in recognition of their invaluable service to the nation.

The Senate also approved Senate Bill No. 2816, which proposes a four-year term for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials. Senator Go highlighted the importance of this measure, stating that longer terms would provide ample time for officials to implement programs and projects essential for community development.

Despite his busy schedule, Senator Go took the time to engage with Senate visitors, posing for his signature selfies and demonstrating his characteristic warmth and accessibility to the public.

This productive session further underscores Senator Go’s dedication to advancing legislation that addresses the needs of the people while fostering strong community ties.
