Two Suspects Arrested in Caloocan Anti-Drug Operation, PHP 1.4M Worth of Shabu Seized

Caloocan City, January 14, 2025 — Authorities conducted a successful anti-illegal drug operation early this morning, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 1,400,800.

The operation, carried out by operatives from the Caloocan City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit (OCOP-DEU), took place at 3:53 AM at Kaagapay Road Corner Tatiana, Barangay 188, Caloocan City.

The arrested suspects were identified as:

Roel, alias Kuya, 44 years old, married, a construction worker, and a resident of Franville II Area A, Barangay 175, Caloocan City.

Bernard, alias Jojo, 52 years old, with a live-in partner, also a construction worker, residing in the same area as Abarre.

Details of the Operation
The buy-bust operation resulted in the confiscation of:

One medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, used as the subject of the sale.

One small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and two knot-tied plastic bags containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 206 grams.

The buy-bust money, which included one genuine PHP 500 bill and eight counterfeit PHP 1,000 bills.

The seized illegal drugs, valued at PHP 1,400,800, are now under police custody for proper documentation and submission to the crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.

The suspects will face charges for violating Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A. 9165), which include the sale, possession, and conspiracy to engage in illegal drug activities.

The authorities continue to intensify their anti-drug efforts in the city, urging the public to report suspicious activities to help combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the community.
