Maayon, Capiz – On January 14, 2025, personnel from 62SAC, 6th Special Action Battalion of PNP SAF provided tactical support to the elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Capiz Provincial Field Unit (PFU) as lead unit along with other law enforcement units in a joint law enforcement operation that resulted in the successful arrest of alias “Ryan” in Brgy. Cabungahan, Maayon, Capiz. 

The suspect was apprehended during the implementation of Search Warrant No. 01-2025 for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Search Warrant No. 02-2025 for illegal possession of explosives under R.A. 9516, both dated January 8, 2025, and issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 17, 6th Judicial Region, Roxas City. Seized during the operation were one caliber .38 revolver, four rounds of ammunition for caliber .38, three rounds of ammunition for caliber .45, one fragmentation hand grenade, and personal belongings of the suspect.

CIDG Capiz PFU took custody of the suspect and seized items for documentation and proper disposition.

The success of the operation underscores the unwavering commitment of the PNP SAF and other law enforcement units in ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law through coordinated and efficient law enforcement.
