High-Value Drug Personality Nabbed in Taytay, Rizal with Php3.4M Worth of Shabu

Calamba City, Laguna — Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 1, in coordination with the PNP Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4A, successfully apprehended a high-value drug personality during a joint buy-bust operation on January 20, 2025, at 10:50 AM in Tatay, Rizal.

The suspect, identified only as alias Ali, a 53-year-old tricycle driver residing in Bagong Sibol Street, Barangay San Juan, Taytay, was arrested in the parking lot of a grocery warehouse in the same barangay.

Authorities confiscated approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php3,400,000.00 during the operation.

Alias Ali is now facing charges for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently detained at the PDEA Regional Office in Barangay Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

This arrest highlights the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating illegal drug activities in the region.
