Joint Operation in Camarines Sur Leads to Arrest, Firearms Seizure

January 20, 2025 – A coordinated law enforcement operation led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Camarines Sur Provincial Field Unit (PFU), with tactical support from the 95th Special Action Company (SAC) of the 9th Special Action Battalion, Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF), successfully resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified as alias “Serapion” and the seizure of illegal firearms in Brgy. Paloyon, Nabua, Camarines Sur.

The operation was conducted under the authority of Search Warrant No. IR-2025-01, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Fifth Judicial Region, Branch 60, Iriga City, for violations of R.A. 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were a Colt .45 caliber pistol, a Taurus Magnum .357 revolver, a steel magazine for a .45 caliber pistol, two rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, and four rounds of .357 magnum ammunition.

The CIDG Camarines Sur PFU has taken custody of the suspect and the confiscated firearms for further investigation and legal proceedings.

This successful operation highlights the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal firearms and ensure public safety in Camarines Sur and beyond. Authorities reaffirm their dedication to protecting communities through vigilant and coordinated actions against criminal activities.
