Caloocan City, January 24, 2025 – A police foot patrol in Sitio Matarik, Brgy. 175, Camarin, Caloocan City, led to the arrest of a 45-year-old man for drug possession and disobedience to law enforcement officers early this morning.

The suspect, identified as alyas Felix, a jobless resident of Bagong Silang, was apprehended at 12:55 AM by PCpl. Val Jerome Lozano and Pat. Carlo Van Dela Cruz of Cadena De Amor Police Sub-Station-11 (CDA SS11).

According to reports, officers on patrol noticed a suspicious exchange between Bello and an unidentified male individual. The latter handed a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu. When the officers approached and identified themselves, the two men fled. A brief chase ensued, resulting in Bello’s capture, while his companion managed to escape.

Authorities confiscated approximately 4 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 27,200.00, from Bello’s possession.

Bello faces charges for Violation of Article 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) under the Revised Penal Code and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The police continue their efforts to identify and apprehend Bello’s accomplice. Meanwhile, the confiscated substance will be subjected to further laboratory examination.
