MPT South Earns Triple ISO Certification, Reinforcing Commitment to Excellence and Sustainability

Philippines – MPT South, the operator of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), has achieved a significant milestone by securing three prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications. The company was awarded ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), underscoring its dedication to operational excellence, sustainability, and safety.

To mark this achievement, an awarding ceremony was held on January 27, 2025, at Sequoia Hotel, where DQS Certification Philippines President Mr. Romeo Bravo formally presented the certifications to the MPT South Management Committee, led by Officer-in-Charge Ms. Elnora D. Rumawak. The event was also attended by MPTC’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Atty. Maria Antonette V. Allones.

“This achievement reflects MPT South’s unwavering commitment to excellence, sustainability, and the safety of every motorist we serve,” said Ms. Rumawak, emphasizing the company’s continuous efforts to enhance its services.

MPT South, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), operates key tollways in the country, including CAVITEX and CALAX. Its parent company, MPTC, manages several major toll roads, such as the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector Road, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

The newly acquired ISO certifications further solidify MPT South’s reputation as a leader in tollway infrastructure, committed to world-class standards in quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety.
