Lumban Police Seize P170K Worth of Shabu in Search Warrant Operation

LAGUNA — A suspect was arrested during a search warrant operation conducted by the Lumban Police Station on February 14, 2025, after being caught with illegal drugs valued at approximately P170,000.

Police Colonel Ricardo I. Dalmascia, Acting Provincial Director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO), identified the suspect as alias Manuel, a resident of Lumban, Laguna.

According to Police Major Bob Louis L. Ordiz, Chief of the Lumban Municipal Police Station, the operation was carried out at around 7:15 AM in Lumban, Laguna. Authorities confiscated five (5) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing a total of 25 grams and an estimated street value of P170,000. A black pouch used to store the illegal drugs was also seized.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the Lumban Municipal Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

In a statement, PCOL Dalmascia emphasized the Laguna PNP’s commitment to intensifying its anti-drug operations. “We want to assure the public that the Laguna PNP is continuously strengthening its campaign against illegal drugs. We will ensure that individuals involved in such activities are held accountable under the law. Our goal is to protect the community from the harmful effects of illegal drugs and guarantee everyone’s safety,” he said.

The Laguna PNP urges the public to cooperate in the ongoing fight to eliminate illegal drugs and ensure a safer community for all.
