PH Air Force FA-50 Fighter Jet Goes Missing During Night Mission; Search Operations Underway

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has launched an extensive search and rescue operation after an FA-50 fighter jet went missing during a Tactical Night Operations mission early Tuesday, March 4.

According to initial reports, the aircraft lost communication with its flight just minutes before reaching the target area. Despite multiple attempts by accompanying aircraft to re-establish contact, there was no response. The rest of the flight returned to Mactan, Cebu, while search efforts for the missing jet and its aircrew intensified.

PAF has deployed all available resources to locate the aircraft, stressing that their priority remains the safety and swift recovery of the aircrew.

“Our primary concern is their safety, and we remain hopeful for their swift recovery. We ask for your prayers and support during this critical time,” the PAF stated.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, with further updates expected as more information becomes available.
