PNP CALABARZON Unveils AI-Integrated Regional Command Center to Boost Public Safety

Calamba City, Laguna – The Police Regional Office CALABARZON (PRO 4A) officially inaugurated its newly enhanced Regional Command Center (RCC) today at Camp Vicente Lim, Mayapa, Calamba City. The state-of-the-art facility integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to enhance law enforcement operations, real-time monitoring, and public safety measures across the region.

The launch was graced by Lieutenant General Robert T. Rodriguez, Deputy Chief PNP for Operations, representing PNP Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil. PBGEN Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, PRO 4A Regional Director, highlighted the critical role of AI-driven policing in making CALABARZON a safer and more secure place.

“The integration of AI technology into our command center marks a new era of policing. We are leveraging innovation to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, and crime prevention strategies,” PBGEN Lucas stated.

The AI-enhanced RCC features advanced facial recognition, predictive policing algorithms, and real-time data analytics, enabling law enforcement to swiftly respond to crimes, optimize resource deployment, and strengthen intelligence operations. A live demonstration showcased the RCC’s capabilities, including plate number recognition, vehicle tracking, and AI-assisted emergency response, with a robbery response in Biñan City executed in approximately two minutes.

Lt. Gen. Rodriguez commended PRO 4A’s leadership, emphasizing that the command center represents the PNP’s commitment to modernizing law enforcement operations under the national Bagong Pilipinas vision.

“This is not just a building; it represents the very essence of our duty—to serve and protect with vigilance, efficiency, and dedication,” he said.

The RCC’s launch aligns with the PNP’s 5-year Development Plan, which prioritizes smart policing solutions to combat cybercrime and emerging security threats. With 24/7 operational coordination, enhanced crime mapping, and intelligence fusion, the facility reinforces PRO 4A’s commitment to proactive policing and public trust.
