Suspects Arrested in Pagadian City for Violating Gun Ban

Zamboanga del Sur – On May 10, 2025, personnel from 55SAC, 5th Special Action Battalion of this unit provided tactical support to Zamboanga del Sur PPO, 1st PMFC, Zamboanga del Sur PPO, and Pagadian CPS, Zamboanga del Sur PPO during police response that resulted in the arrest of a.k.a. John Paul, Lorenzo, Roy and Sosimo for Violation of R.A. 10591 in relation to Omnibus Election Code (Batas Pambansa Blg. 881) in Brgy. Bomba, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

            Prior to the incident, information received by PNP personnel states that four suspicious individuals wearing full-face balaclava masks visibly carrying tucked firearms were seen riding two motorcycles. When the operating troops asked for necessary documents for the firearms, said individuals failed to present any resulting in their arrest and seizure of two caliber .45 pistols and 9mm pistols.

           Pagadian CPS, Zamboanga del Sur PPO took custody of the arrested suspects and seized items for documentation and proper disposition.

           The success of this operation highlights the unwavering dedication of law enforcement to curbing illegal firearms and ensuring a safe and orderly election period. (SAF)
