High-Value Drug Suspect Falls in Antipolo Buy-Bust; P278K Worth of Shabu Seized

Antipolo City, May 24, 2025 — In a major breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs, operatives of the Antipolo City Drug Enforcement Team (CDET) under the Rizal Police Provincial Office (RPPO) successfully apprehended a High-Value Individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santa Cruz, Antipolo City.

According to a report received by Rizal PPO Provincial Director Police Colonel Felipe B. Maraggun, the operation took place at around 5:00 a.m. and led to the arrest of a 29-year-old male suspect, alias “Noy,” a resident of Barangay Santa Cruz. The suspect was identified as a high-value target on the Rizal PPO drug watchlist.

Confiscated during the operation were three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 41 grams and valued at PHP 278,800. Also recovered were the marked money used in the operation.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the Antipolo Custodial Facility for documentation and further investigation. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court.

PCOL Maraggun emphasized that this operation is part of the continuous and intensified anti-drug campaign of the Rizal PNP, which aims to create a peaceful, safe, and crime-free province.
