Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- Naaresto ng mga operatiba ng Municipal Drug Enforcement Team ng Bauan Municipal Police Station, katuwang ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, ang isang lalaking hinihinalang sangkot sa ilegal na droga sa ikinasang buy-bust operation sa Barangay San Roque, Bauan, Batangas.

Kinilala ang suspek na si alyas “Tattoo”, 50 taong gulang, lalaki, drayber, at residente ng nasabing barangay.

Ang operasyon ay isinagawa sa pakikipag coordinate sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 4A, kung saan nasamsam mula sa suspek ang apat (4) na piraso ng heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na tumitimbang ng humigit-kumulang 160 gramo na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng ₱1,088,000.00 batay sa Standard Drug Price.

Ayon kay PBGen Jack L. Wanky, Acting Regional Director ng PRO 4A, ang matagumpay na kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga ay hindi magiging posible kung wala ang dedikasyon at kasipagan ng mga operatiba sa CALABARZON.

“Ang tagumpay ng buy-bust operation sa Bauan, Batangas ay patunay ng dedikasyon at sakripisyo ng ating mga operatiba, mga bayani ng bayan na buong tapang na naglilingkod upang makamit ang isang ligtas at drug-free na lipunan, ” pahayag ni PBGen Wanky.

Samantala, ang suspek ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Bauan MPS at sasampahan ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.(RPIO4A)
