₱1.3 Milyong Halaga ng Droga, Narekober sa Dalawang High-Value Targets sa Lucena

LUCENA CITY, QUEZON – Dalawang High Value Individuals (HVI) ang naaresto sa magkahiwalay na anti-illegal drug operations na ikinasa ng Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) ng Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) sa dalawang barangay ng lungsod kamakalawa ng hapon at gabi.

Ayon kay Quezon Provincial Director PCOL Romulo Albacea, unang nadakip ang suspek na si alyas Nelson, 50 taong gulang at residente ng Brgy. Mamala II, Sariaya, sa isinagawang buy-bust operation bandang alas-4:49 ng hapon. Nakuha sa kanyang posisyon ang ilang transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na tumitimbang ng 65 gramo, na may tinatayang street value na ₱442,000.

Samantala, dakong alas-10:33 ng gabi ay naaresto naman si alyas Arthuz, 30 taong gulang at residente ng Lumina Homes, Brgy. Isabang, sa isa ring buy-bust operation sa parehong barangay. Nasamsam mula sa kanya ang nasa 31 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na nagkakahalaga ng ₱632,400. Bukod sa droga, nakumpiska rin sa kanyang pag-iingat ang isang cal. 45 na baril na may magazine at mga bala, na walang kaukulang dokumento o lisensya.

Umabot sa kabuuang halagang ₱1.3 milyon ang iligal na drogang narekober mula sa dalawang suspek, na matagal nang minamanmanan ng mga awtoridad dahil sa kanilang pagkakasangkot sa operasyon ng ilegal na droga sa lungsod.

Kasalukuyang nakakulong sa Lucena City PNP custodial facility ang dalawang suspek. Nahaharap si alyas Nelson sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Si alyas Arthuz naman ay sinampahan din ng parehong kaso, gayundin ng paglabag sa Republic Act 10591 o Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition. Ang mga kaso ay isinampa na sa Office of the City Prosecutor ng Lucena City.
