LAGUNA – Tatlong katao ang nasawi habang lima naman ang sugatan matapos magsalpukan ang isang pampasaherong bus at isang SUV Montero kaninang madaling araw, Hulyo 19, sa Maharlika Highway, bahagi ng Barangay San Francisco Calihan, San Pablo, Laguna.

Kinilala ang mga nasawi, na pawang sakay ng SUV Montero, na sina Jovan Fablicante, 41, residente ng Sto. Tomas City, Batangas; Rizaldy Briganza Sotalbo, 31, mula Majayjay, Laguna; at Gian Valermoza, 35, ng Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. Kinumpirma ng mga awtoridad na dead on arrival sa ospital ang tatlo.

Naganap ang insidente dakong 1:45 ng umaga sa intersection ng Maharlika Highway at 7-Up Road corner Soledad-Santisimo Road. Ayon sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, papasok umano ng Maharlika Highway ang SUV na minamaneho ni Leo Nille Gomez, 31, residente ng Brgy. 11F, San Pablo City, habang papalapit naman ang bus na minamaneho ni Jose Bo Calizura, 30, ng Looc, Calamba City, Laguna, na bumibiyahe mula sa timog patungong Metro Manila. Dito na nagkasalpukan ang dalawang sasakyan.

Samantala, lima ang nagtamo ng iba’t-ibang pinsala na pawang mga pasahero ng bus. Sila ay kinilalang sina Melissa Fiel Uñigo Tobias ng Brgy. Del Remedio, San Pablo City; Feliciano Bayson Zamudio, 31, ng Tagkawayan, Quezon; Flordeliza Duma Lipat, 36, ng Mandaluyong City; Caleb Lipat Manzilla, 1 taong gulang, ng Tagkawayan; at Mary Grace Orlina Janapin, 22, ng Novaliches, Quezon City. Agad silang dinala sa San Pablo City District Hospital ng nagrespondeng San Pablo LGU-CDRRMO.

Bukod sa mga nasawi, dalawa pang sakay ng SUV ang kasalukuyan pa ring nasa kritikal na kondisyon. Patuloy pa ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng pulisya upang matukoy ang sanhi at may pananagutan sa malagim na aksidente.
