CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — After enduring the wrath of three consecutive typhoons—Carina, Dindo, and Emong—Calamba has found unwavering leadership in Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal. His tireless compassion shines as he continues to lead intensive relief efforts, long after the rains have stopped.

Over the past week, Mayor Rizal’s team has brought aid to storm-battered barangays across the city, distributing hot meals, essential relief goods, Jolibee and Goldilocks products. The initiative reflects not just urgency, but sincere empathy for Calambeños who were severely affected by the back-to-back weather disasters.

The relentless rainfall caused by the trio of typhoons led to flooding and disrupted daily life. Yet, Mayor Rizal’s resilience has been a beacon for those in need. Locals say he’s been working virtually nonstop since the first downpour.

“Sama-sama nating nilalabanan ang hirap na dulot ng kalamidad — dahil sa Calamba, hindi ka nag-iisa,” he reaffirmed.

His message of solidarity continues to echo through every relief pack handed out and every meal served—showing that in Calamba, leadership is fueled by heart, not just duty.
