Gov. Sol Aragones Slams P150 Daily Meal Budget for Patients: “UMINIT ANG ULO KO!”

San Pablo City, Laguna — Governor Sol Aragones expressed outrage in a social media post after learning that the daily meal budget for confined patients in the provincial public hospitals is allegedly only ₱150.

In a strongly worded statement, the governor wrote:

“UMINIT ANG ULO KO! ₱150 ang budget diumano sa pagkain ng naka-confine na pasyente kada araw?”

Governor Aragones said she immediately ordered a thorough report on the current condition of public hospitals under the provincial government. What she discovered was far worse than expected: critical shortages in equipment, staff, and inefficient systems plaguing the province’s healthcare facilities.

“Napakaraming kulang na kagamitan, mga empleyado, sistema at iba pa. Higit pa ito sa inaasahan ko,” she stated.

Despite the alarming findings, Aragones reassured her constituents that reforms are underway.

“Sa tulong ng mga tunay na nagmamalasakit, dahan-dahan po nating aayusin ito. Kapit lang.”

Her post sparked strong reactions from netizens, many of whom shared the governor’s frustration. The hashtag #UminitDinUloKo began trending locally, reflecting public concern over healthcare conditions in the province.

The governor’s initiative is part of a broader effort to overhaul public services in Laguna. As reforms begin to roll out, citizens are hopeful that real, lasting improvements will follow.
