ATIMONAN, QUEZON — Patay ang isang 27-anyos na motorcycle rider matapos barilin sa ulo sa Maharlika Highway, Barangay Lumutan, madaling araw ng Miyerkules.
Una itong inakalang isang karaniwang aksidente sa kalsada matapos matagpuan ang biktima na nakahandusay sa tabi ng kanyang motorsiklo sa gilid ng daan. Ngunit sa isinagawang imbestigasyon ng Atimonan Municipal Police Station, lumabas na hindi ito simpleng aksidente kundi isang kaso ng pamamaril.
Ayon sa ulat ng pulisya, isang tawag mula sa Plaridel Municipal Police Station ang natanggap bandang 12:40 ng madaling araw na nag-uulat ng umano’y road crash sa nasabing lugar. Agad na rumesponde ang mga pulis at natagpuan ang duguang katawan ng biktima na may tama ng bala sa ulo.
Kinilala ang biktima na si Mark, 27-anyos, isang driver at residente ng Barangay San Juan De Jesus, Gumaca, Quezon.
Narekober sa pinangyarihan ng insidente ang isang basyo ng bala, na nagpapatibay sa teorya ng pamamaril.
Patuloy ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng mga awtoridad upang matukoy ang suspek at malaman ang posibleng motibo sa krimen. Kabilang sa mga hakbang ng pulisya ang pagsusuri sa mga CCTV footage, pangangalap ng ebidensya, at pakikipanayam sa mga posibleng testigo.
