LAGUNA – Patay ang isang 11-buwan na sanggol habang sugatan naman ang ina at lola nito matapos pagbabarilin ng hindi pa nakikilalang mga suspek habang kumakain sa kanilang tindahan ng pares sa Brgy. Gregorio, San Pablo City, Laguna, nitong Biyernes ng gabi.
Ayon sa San Pablo City Police, nagtamo ng tama ng bala sa kaliwang tagiliran na tumagos sa kanang balikat ang sanggol at idineklarang dead on arrival sa Panlalawigang Pagamutan ng Laguna.
Sugatan ang ina ng bata na si Rhea Cuenca Lunar, 30, isang pares vendor, matapos tamaan sa kanang balikat at kanang braso. Nasugatan din ang lola ng sanggol na si Mercedita Cuenca Lunar, 56, na tinamaan sa kanang binti at kasalukuyang ginagamot sa parehong ospital.
Base sa salaysay ng isang saksi, kumakain ang mga biktima nang biglang dumating at pumasok sa tindahan ang armadong suspek at walang habas na pinaputukan ang mga ito.
Matapos ang insidente, mabilis na tumakas ang suspek na nakasuot ng itim na jacket at pantalon, at sumakay sa motorsiklong minamaneho ng isa pang lalaki na nakasuot ng itim na helmet, jacket, at pantalon.
Kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ng dragnet operation ang San Pablo City Police para madakip ang mga salarin. Nangangalap na rin sila ng CCTV footage para sa pagkakakilanlan ng mga ito. Narekober naman ng pulisya ang motorsiklong ginamit ng mga suspek matapos itong iwan sa isang lugar. Patuloy pang iniimbestigahan ang motibo sa krimen.
